Summit Art Glass McKee Green & White Slag Bird on Nest | Vintage Marbled Covered Dish

A gorgeous Summit Art Glass bird-on-nest covered dish in richly marbled green and white slag glass. Deep emerald green flows through creamy white glass across both the detailed bird and ribbed nest base, creating a dramatic pattern unique to the individual piece.

Details

• Approximate measurements: 5½" long × 4½" wide × 4½" tall.
• Production: Made by Summit Art Glass using a historic McKee covered-animal mold. Summit acquired a group of molds that included McKee covered animals and later produced them in its own collectible colors.
• Color: Often identified by collectors as “Dave’s Green Slag,” a green-and-white marbled Summit color.
• Collector note: These should be distinguished from original-period McKee production. Summit examples using McKee forms are later collectible glass, with documented examples dating to the 1990s.
• Glass: Each slag example has an individual distribution of green and white; this piece has especially strong white banding through the bird and base.

Condition
